Georgian pianist Tamta Magradze has fascinated audiences with her outstanding performances and technique. “From whisper through murmur to raging storm, and all these with the highest tonal delicacy and mastery of touch” – wrote the German magazine Lauterbacher Anzeiger.

Tamta Magradze was born in 1995, in Tbilisi, Georgia. She started playing piano at the age of 5, under guidance of her grandmother – also a musician. She spent 2001-2012 years doing her studies in the Paliashvili Central Music School in Tbilisi (10 years Talent school) . In 2013 she was admitted to the Tbilisi State Conservatoire with the highest grades among the peers. Tamta received her bachelor’s degree in 2017 under the guidance of Emeritus professor Edisher Rusishvili. In 2017 she continued her studies in the University of Music Franz Liszt in Weimar Germany, under professor Gerlinde Otto and were she received her master degree in 2019 with the highest distinction. Currently, Tamta is studying in Weimar on post-graduate studies , to receive Concert Pianist diploma. (Konzertexamen).

As part of her musical training, Tamta took part in the master classes with distinguished musical minds such as Tengiz Amirejibi, Leslie Howard, Hans-Jurg Strub, Eter Anjaparidze, Ramzi Yassa, Jura Margulis, Elisso Virsaladze, Alexander Korsantia, Epifanio Comis, Michael Leuschner, Mariusz Sielski, Konstantin Scherbakov, Aquiles Delle Vigne, Rolf-Dieter Arens, Imre Rohmann, Boris Bloch, and more.

Tamta’s achievements include Grand Prize at the international music competition “Music Without Borders” held in Lithuania in 2012. In 2012 she also became a laureate in the National Chamber Music Competition dedicated to Haydn (Tbilisi, Georgia). She won the first place and scholarship to study in the Long Island Conservatoire in NY at the international music competition held in Stockholm, Sweden. In 2015 she won the first prize at the National piano competition dedicated to Tengiz Amirejibi and took the special prize for the best performance of the romantic piece. In 2018 she won the special prize for a particularly talented participant of the Liszt Competition (Weimar/Bayreuth). In 2017, 2019 and 2021 She Won Award and Scholarship in the field of music by DAAD. In 2019 Tamta was selected among fourteen distinguished pianists in the Franz Liszt International Competition UTRECHT Netherlands. Competition was cancelled due to Corona virus, but in 2020 Liszt Competition made online competition, where people were voting for their winner , where Tamta Magradze took the first Prize and She became people’s winner . She got votes from more then 50 countrys . She had concert tour in the cities of Italy, Germany, Hungary and Netherlands and was invited to the Liszt Festival in Schilligsfürst, Delft Chamber Music Festival (Holland), Liszt Festival in Grottammare (Italy).

In 2021 She became Laureate of Canada International Piano Competition and also 2 nd prize winner on Paderewski Memoriam Piano Competition , also won the second prize and the special prize for the best interpretation of the romantic work at the Great Piano Masters International Piano Competition (Vladimir Horowitz Edition). In September 2021 she was a finalist of the Franz Liszt Competition in Budapest (Hungary) where she became the special prize winner. In 2021 she won the second prize and Lazar Berman special prize on La Palma D’oro International piano Competition. In January 2022 She was selected between 10 pianists for Liszt Utrecht competition. Final Rounds will be in September.

Tamta appears on the stages such as Musikhuset in Aarhus/Denmark , Toni Areal Zurich/Switzerland, Festhaal Furstenhaus in Weimar/Germany, La Redoute in Bonn/Germany , Colombes Conservatoire Hall Colombes/France, Grande Auditorio do Consevatorio de musica de Coimbra/Portugal, Kamermusiksaal Steingraeber Haus in Bayreyth/Germany,Tivoli Vredenburg in Utrecht/Netherlands , Grand Hall of Liszt Academy in Budapest and more. She has played with orchestras such as Georgian Symphonietta, Georgian Symphonic Orchestra, Jena Philharmonic Orchestra , Hungarian National Philharmonic Orchestra and others.
